In October 2022, Yuan Li’ group show that the values of S, from junctions with SAMs, can be tuned over 5 times (maximum) by the topography of electrodes (from ~3 ? flatness to a ~3 nm roughness) and the flatter the surface of the electrode, the better the packing of molecules, resulting in the larger the Seebeck effect.
2022-08
In August 2022, Yuan Li’s group proposed that a chemical control approach to shift the threshold voltage of a series of molecular diodes composed of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) of π-extended tetrathiafulvalene (exTTF) derivatives.
2022-04
In April 2022, Yuan Li’s group reported that a large cooperative effect induced by van der Waals interactions among different terminal groups in binary self-assembled monolayers increased rate of charge tunneling by nearly two orders of magnitude, switching high-performance molecular diodes into resistors.
